    • BMS algorithms - fast charging, SOX diagnosis, aging mitigation:we combine physics-based models and data-driven tools (ML/DL) to develop next-generation BMS algorithms.
    • Material kinetics theory – porous electrode, solid-state electrolyte: based on fundamental theories (thermodynamics, transport, reaction kinetics), we study behavior of Li+ in multi-particle heterogeneous porous electrodes (both NMC and LFP -based systems), as well as in sintered structures of solid electrolytes.
    • Cell and pack simulation – fast charging, battery safety, cell design:we optimize cell and pack design as well as charging protocols using battery digital twins (i.e., advanced mathematical models and numerical tools).

    Research highlights
    • Ordered mesoporous carbon materials, called CMK-n, have been created in this laboratory. Another notable work is the synthesis of mesoporous materials built with crystalline microporous zeolite frameworks, which opened up new possibilities in advanced zeolite catalysis. Current research interest is in heterogeneous catalysis based on nanoporous catalytic materials, particularly, for hydrogen production, future energy sources, and clean environments.

    Research highlights
    • I work primarily on issues in the philosophy of language and metaphysics. My current work focuses on issues surrounding the linguistic phenomena termed de jure coreference -- In particular, I explore such issues from the perspective of semantic relationism. Also, I have research interests in the semantics and pragmatics of referential terms (e.g. names, definite descriptions, pronouns, indexicals, and demonstratives). Here are some of the issues that I am currently working on.

    • Coordination in confused cases: I outline and defend an account of how coordination works in cases of referential confusion.
    • Type-polysemous account of names: I offer a new semantic account of names. The key idea is that an account employing type shifting principles best explains the linguistic data regarding a variety of uses of names.

    • Membrane Reactors : embrane reactors using metallic membrane produce high-purity H2 from liquid chemical hydrides. Thin metallic membranes are by many methods such as electroless plating, and the prepared membranes are used for membrane reactors.
